Program Highlights for Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department Of Energy Resources (DOER) is a state government agency, working to:

  • Implement energy policies that ensure an adequate supply of reliable, affordable and clean energy for the businesses and residents of Massachusetts.
  • Improve and streamline energy regulation, promote greater efficiency in all energy uses, reduce energy costs and mobilize energy education.

Energy Efficiency Programs

To find out more about statewide residential programs, see the new Massachusetts Home Energy Service web page -- featuring a complete list of energy efficiency programs available to Massachusetts tenants and homeowners.

MassSAVE is the new name for the Massachusetts Residential Conservation Services Program, which has been available since 1980. The program underwent a massive redesign in 2001 and today provides energy information and services to all Massachusetts residential energy users.By participating in MassSAVE, your participating utility or energy efficiency service provider may provide incentives toward the purchase and installation of attic, wall and heating pipe/duct insulation, air sealing measures, and programmable thermostats.

MassSAVE is brought to you by your local electric and gas utilities and energy efficiency service providers and provides year-round home energy solutions to save you money, improve the energy performance of your home, reduce air pollution, and protect the environment.
