These homes outperform standard built homes when it comes to quality, comfort and savings. Owners of New Jersey Energy Star Homes enjoy lower monthly energy bills, plus greater indoor comfort year-round and many other benefits.

These benefits are assured through analysis of the building design, inspection at key construction stages and final performance testing for program certification. A range of financial incentives and technical support services are provided to participating home builders in qualified areas.

Over 6000 homes have already been built to the New Jersey Energy Star Homes standard in New Jersey, and 15,000 more have been committed to the program.
