NEHERS NEHERS

Who We Are

In January, 2005, the Northeast HERS Alliance formed a non-profit corporation with 118 members: 14 accredited providers, 90 raters, 7 associate members, 1 training provider, and 6 program members. In 2008 we finalized our incorporation as a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization and have grown to almost 250 rater members. We are guided by a Board of Directors elected annually from our membership as well as a set of bylaws that were revised in 2007. Three part time staff support the Board, membership, and training programs we offer.

NEHERS Alliance Membership

It is imperative to develop a broad membership base committed to building a robust and supportive HERS industry in the Northeast. In addition to Home Energy Raters and Accredited HERS Providers, we encourage membership by individuals, companies, and agencies with resources and an interest in ensuring a vibrant and uniform HERS infrastructure, including but not limited to:

  • utilities;
  • state energy offices;
  • government agencies;
  • systems benefit charge administrators;
  • lending institutions supportive of energy efficiency in housing;
  • and energy product manufacturers and suppliers.
